Cynthia Stinson, Board President
Cynthia has been an Advisory Board Member since 2016 and became the Board President in 2019. Cynthia was involved in the field of victim services for over 25 years and served clients directly as well as being an administrator of state and federal grant funds and leader in the formation and implementation of public policy at the Oregon Department of Justice. Cynthia also served several years as a Legislative Coordinator for the Department of Human Services and now works as the Director of Data, Operations and Grant Management at the Department of Education. In addition to her work with Camp Yakety Yak, Cynthia serves on the Advisory Board for the National Crime Victim Law Institute and on the Advisory Committee for the Department of Corrections Facilitated Dialogue Program. She is a longtime member of the Willamette Master Chorus. Cynthia and her husband John live in Salem and have three spirited children who attend Camp Yakety Yak. This is their 9th year as campers.
Jill Voyt, Vice President
Jill has been leading educational programs, improvements, teams, and projects for over fifteen years. She started out in financial services, earned an MBA, and then transitioned into education with Amplify Learning, where she partnered with districts and educators across the country using digital literacy and math programs to improve learning outcomes
She has been an independent consultant in Oregon for the past 10 years and has held roles at Portland Public Schools, including Director in System Planning and Performance. Jill lives in Lake Oswego with her husband and two girls.
Kai X. Turner, Treasurer
Kai is a dedicated public servant with more than a decade of experience in public sector leadership, finance, and operational oversight — complemented by his early career as a nonprofit leader and fundraiser. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System and has previously held leadership roles at the Oregon Department of Education, the Utah Department of Transportation, and the Utah Department of Technology Services. Kai is deeply committed to supporting inclusive environments where children and young adults with diverse needs can build confidence, strengthen social skills, and form meaningful friendships. He lives in the Portland metro area with his wife and two children and is honored to support the mission and community of Camp Yakety Yak.
