Aliens, Monsters, and Robots... UNITE! - Day 5

Fridays always sneak up so fast here at Camp!! We had a totally out-of-this-world week. Between the dancing the Monster Mash, creating alien slime, and building robots, the time simply flew by!!

We had so much fun inviting our loved ones to the end of the week party!! All our campers got super amazing awards in their last class of the day! Plus, we got to show off our team talents at the party for our loved ones!! It was so awesome to see so many of our friends on stage with their team participating in the team talent!! It was also fun to see our friends in the end of the week slideshow!! But nothing beats the end of the week dance party!! We love finishing camp off with a good conga line or robot dance!!

ChitChat: Phew, what a busy week it has been! For our final day in ChitChat this week, we finished showing off our acting skills!! We were continuing yesterday’s scenario activity and got to see the rest of the camper’s role play scenarios acted out. It was neat to see how different people would react to mean teasing situations--gosh our campers are creative!!

Yak Academy: In Yak Academy, we had the Green Screen Studio set up in class! Using camp’s iPads, we did a photoshoot in our teams with the creatures! We had to take turns with the Green Screen but we were totally patient with each other - it was fantastic. Then using the super, amazing, incredible Green Screen app, we got to choose our own backgrounds and add text to create our PSA posters!! They look so awesome! At the bottom of the blog, Miss Emily promised to upload all the PSA posters so campers could show off their hard work!!

Games: Our campers had so much fun in Games today. It was awesome to see the campers strategizing in all the games we played --with a clear foundation of the rules campers are really thinking strategically about how to play! With each team, we had a little freedom - some teams played “Monster, Monster, Alien” (like Duck, Duck, Goose) and some teams wanted to play Monster Tag or Good Robot, Bad Robot! Can’t wait for another amazing week next week.

Discovery & Cooking Class: Today is a special day for our robot, aliens, and monster campers! Today campers got to watch a movie and have a treat. What a great way to end the week!
