Yak Academy
Today in Yak academy we continued working on our movies and music videos. The groups finished filming the videos! We are so excited to see how they will look on the big screen! There was a lot of group work involved as well as taking turns.
Chit Chat:
Game stations. Each class split up into smaller groups and rotated through 4 stations: Trouble, Sorry, Wii, and Hedbanz. Everyone's favorite was playing Mario Party 8 on the Wii!
Discovery- Orange & Silver
Discovery had day 2 of code.org/mine craft coding. Campers worked through challenging activity of drag and drop coding. Campers will do more tomorrow.
Games:
Games continued creating our camp version of Charades: Yakarades. The focus was on using nonverbal communication and developing standard ways to provide hints and help to the audience. The campers are really good at it!!
Cooking- Green
Today in cooking we made special popcorn! We added melted marshmallows & chocolate chips! It was really cool to make. Kids really liked how sticky the popcorn became
Nothing better than coming home from work, ordering some food, and turning on the match. Makes an ordinary Tuesday feel like a mini event. I don't bet every game either. Just the ones where both teams are evenly matched because those are the most fun to watch. Then i pick a random little moment, like how many wides in the next two overs, and drop an IPL live bet just for entertainment. Win or lose, it adds a little spark. Highly recommend trying it this way. No stress, just spice. Exactly how cricket should feel.
