Day 9 Green, Orange and Silver Teams (Ages 9-11)
Morning Assembly is always a good place to highlight the items in the lost and found box. We still have a lot of unclaimed goods, so be sure to stop by on Friday. There was another appearance by Jeff the Sock Puppet, thanks to Diego. Jeff and Jeremy had a great discussion on different ways to calm down. The Afternoon Assembly was full of great jokes, wonderful talents and more practice...Join us for the End of Camp Celebration to see what we've been working on...
Disgust's sunbutter honey banana quesadilla, learning more about tongue/tastebuds (salty, sweet, bitter tastebuds), campers watch a fun cartoon about our tongue (amazing facts and abilities of the tongue)
In theater today the campers practiced complementing themselves by sharing what they are good at and acting it out with their bodies. They also celebrated the last full day of camp by playing a fun guessing game of "Poison Dart Frog".
Another great day to be outside for Games class. Campers got to vote on their choice of games, since it was the last scheduled games class.
We ended the week on a positive note and talked about compliments. What are the components of a compliment? How does it feel to give and receive a compliment? Campers tried it out.
It was very exciting to present the stop motion movies that they've been working so hard on. All other campers in the class had the opportunity to offer positive feedback.
