Games - red

Today in games, we went through a neat obstacle course! There were a lot of different areas to climb through and we used our whole body to get some energy out. Only one camper could go at a time, so we practicing waiting our turn. Sometimes waiting is hard, but it can be a little easier if we are cheering on our friends.

Play - yellow, blue

Today in play class, we did our fun bowling game. One of us set up a neat block tower, and then someone else on the team rolled a ball to knock it down. We are so creative that every tower looked different and unique. In play, we work on turn taking, waiting our turn, and cheering on our group.

Project

Have you seen my neat space helmet? We made them in projects class. First, we decorated each of the planets. Then, we cut them out and glued them onto our hat. Most of us wore our hats all day! It was fun to be creative with the hats. We also practiced sharing art supplies and using them correctly!

Friendship

Our teacher blew some bubbles for us in class today! Then, we had a very important job of helping decorate the classroom. Everyone picked their favorite planet and colored it. It was our job to hang it somewhere in the room! We started our new special book! This week, the book is “Personal Space Camp” by Julia Cook.

Cooking - yellow

Today in cooking, we got to make pizza planets. Everyone had the chance to try some new foods: veggies on pizza and a base of gluten-free bread! Like always, we used our visual recipe to make our treat. We are practicing independence by trying to do as much of the recipe as we can on our own. Cooking starts with hand washing, and practicing kitchen safety.

Discovery - blue, red

Today we started a two day project. We are making our own Star Wars podracers. We are did some folding and following directions.
